When time drags

those days when the clock tickets by slower then normal annoy me greatly. when ever the store is slow all u can do is stare at the clock and watch the time inch by. or if u have something important to do after work time drags. it can never speed by on slow days but busy days just fly by. it is uber annoying.

call outs

if u call out of work do u post on facebook that u went to austin's party? how stupid can u be? i am friends with a vast number of my coworkers and they know i am a facebook creeper. so if u call out and want us to believe ur at a funeral and not a party don't post on ur facebook. one of the girls called out saturday and monday i was like oh really when i heard i was like she was at a party. and the manager was like next time she calls out tell to show up or dont come back (if its not life and death). i don't understand calling out, yes i think about it all the time, then i realize if i call out how am i gonna pay my car bill, my car insurance, gas for the car, school or anything else i have to pay for.

When you are working hard and everyone else is goofing!

The other day i was running around working my bum off. I ran to the bank, well actual i drove but thats besides the point, changed light bulbs in the ceiling (had to carry the 12 foot later around the store), removed stacks form the floor around the store, made signs, changed prices, helped in customer service and probably more things that i don't remember. while i was doing this the guy in the grocery department whose job it is to get carts on Wednesday did not get even a single cart! he was probably hiding in the bath room again or outback on his phone. And the cashiers decided to all gather around one register and talk and talk and talk. arg. i fixed that. gave the girl at the customer service desk a list of things for the cashiers to do. lazy people drive me crazy (at work. at home i am the laziest person u will meet).

full moons

Every full moon is the same the crazies come out of the wood work. this passed sunday was a full moon we had nearly a dozen annoying customers complain about stupid things. the one that stood out the most and was the most annoying was the lady with the wic. wic is the program run by the state to help parents feed their babies. each check is listed with what they are allowed to get no exceptions allowed. she was allowed two gallons of milk and wanted one gallon and two half gallons. wait a minute thats not two gallons! so we told her sorry u need two gallons and she flipped out. we were like it the law and no point in arguing it wont change our minds. on her way out the door she said " dont talk about me when i leave." lol we did.

Annoying Co-Workers

Co-workers. Arg. If only they would all disappear when you wanted. Actually only the annoying ones the rest can stay. Why make work harder then it has to be? There's no reason to. Yes! Customers are annoying too but they are what gets us paid! Why other employees argue with them is something completely and utterly stupid. The goal is to get them in and out as fast as possible and that only works if u gave the customer what they want( if its reasonable). Smile and then when they leave mutter under ur breathe about them. Don't be an ass on purpose and have to call me to deal with an angry customer over something i should punch u in the face for. Some people are just weird to start with and u just bear with it; they will not be hanging around forever. good grief. annoying co-workers.

Phone Calls

Phone calls. Thats all I should need to say. Whenever you are in the middle of something the phone rings either on one line or both lines at the same time. You could have a line of customers and your working alone; the phone will go off a hundred times and when you have no customers or any help the phone will be silent. Also the worst is when you get to the phone and give the greeting and the response you get is a click. They have the wrong number and they hang up with out saying "Sorry I have the wrong number". Lastly the other thing that annoys me is when people call and ask "Are u open?". If we are not opened WHY WOULD I ANSWER THE PHONE? I feel like responding "No we are not opened. I am at home in my pjs, sitting on the couch, watching tv and answering the phone at work". arg. I hate phone calls. :(
